Summer Fun in China Program
Summer Fun in China is a unique two-week cultural immersion
program designed for Families with Children from China (FCC).
The goals of the program are:

• To foster self-esteem and strengthen individual identity of
each adopted child
communicating with their adopted child(ren)
cross cultural understanding between American and Chinese
people

Program Method and Activities

The program uses immersion method in both language instruction
and cultural exposure. Adopted children will be joined by native
Chinese children of similar ages in all activities. Adoptive parents
will have opportunities to practice what they learn in classes. Both
children and parents will experience the life of ordinary Chinese
families over the weekend.

Program Participants

•  Adopted Children age 4 and up
•  Parents, relatives and friends of adopted child(ren)
•  Prospective adoptive parents

2007 Program Schedule

Summer Fun in China Program runs from July 2nd to July 15th,
2007. During the week, participants will stay at a nearby hotel. For

Exchange (HXICE), a non-profit corporation created to promote
cultural exchange between the United State and People's Republic
of China. Summer Fun in China program is hosted by the
